We met artist Elise Wagner as she was preparing her exhibition, Marking Time, to go up at Imogen Gallery in Astoria, Oregon. She gave us a call to see if we could handle her exhibition catalog with a tight turn around. We jumped right in and while meeting with her about the project, she showed me a few pieces. We were struck by her piece, Astral Art—and knew that a detail of it would make a great cover. The lines and fields of color of the cover image informed the grid for the whole book and led to a nicely-ordered catalog that was delivered right on time.
